What is $ARC?

The CARV governance token (unlisted). Every $ARC airdrop is currently recorded and registered on the CARV protocol. For now, the acquirement of $ARC is limited to the following scenarios:

  1. Major events that are attached to platform-level or project-level significance
  2. Dragon Treasure NFT (acquired from a 6-month-long community marathon event)
  3. Major contributions to the project

What is the CARV Pass?

CARV Pass marks an exciting move for carv.io as it enables players to not only earn GEM but also unlock rewards directly. It consists of a whole incentive system that maps rewards with the quests accordingly.

What is $GEM?

$GEM is virtual money on the CARV platform. It is issued and monitored by the team and accepted electronically among the members of the CARV community.

What are all of these badges for?

Briefly, all badges are SBTs on the CARV platform. CARV badges are soulbound tokens that can not be transferred to others, but only between bound wallets of the sole personal account and are uniquely linked to your ID. CARV badges can be permanently recorded and displayed as a testament to your ownership and gaming achievements. Do I need to mint every badge?

Badges are usually vessels of certain credentials. The perks of the badge only belong to the owner, for which you can opt-in to mint the ones that interest you. You do not have to mint every single one of them.

Why am I unable to CARV the badge after completing the quest?

If you constantly fail to be eligible, we apologize for all the inconvenience! But trust us. We shall not let your efforts be wasted.

  1. Please make sure you have bound all relative social media accounts to the CARV ID, eg, check whether your Twitter is correctly bound to your ID when verifying a 'Retweet' or a 'Following the Twitter' quest.
  2. Please double-check whether you have finished all the required tasks. If some of them need to be verified after the event, please understand the latency.
  3. It could be caused by reception issues. Please check the internet or VPN settings of your internet.
  4. It could take up to 15 mins to update the data on-chain, patience is appreciated.
  5. If the event clearly instructs that a whitelist would be uploaded or selected after the event, please stay with us for the final results.

What are CARV scores?

CARV scores are the basic vehicle to align with our users and the platform's goals and values. CARV score is the weighted sum of a player's scores in games, which is determined by the rarity of the user's whole collection of badges. The rarity is calculated by the percentage of players who have unlocked the badge among all the CARV players who have played that game.

Why is my CARV score changing or dropping?

If the rarity of your badge collection is dropping, the score will be adjusted accordingly. It could happen when other users mint rarer badges the same as you or made the same achievements as you.

Why is my profile not displaying some of my NFT holdings?

NFTs on unsupported chains will not be displayed. You can create a ticket on our Discord server and we might support them in the future. For those supported NFTs, it usually takes 5 to 15 mins for the system to recognize ownership on-chain after you make the purchase.

What if I have to unbind my wallets?

Yes, you can unbind at any time for sure. However, before you decide to do so, please note

  1. You can only mint an SBT badge once. All SBT badges cannot be traded or transferred between accounts, but only between bound wallets in the sole account.
  2. When you remove a wallet that has been used to mint the badge, all related badges will be removed as well. There is no recovery or re-minting allowed after that.
  3. If you remove all wallets that are bound to the ID, that account (ID) will not exist anymore, and neither are all the SBTs and credentials. There is no recovery or re-minting allowed after that.

What if I lose the Twitter/ Discord account connected to carv.io?

Why does it keep showing ‘TypeError: Failed to fetch’?

In most cases, checking the following problems can solve the issue

  1. Unstable network (check your connection or switch VPN/IP)
  2. Metamask logged out (click your extension and log back in)
  3. Hard refresh the website

Why can't I write reviews on CARV (SBT-gated)?

We intend to create an amiable, fair and transparent environment for gamers. It comprises a review system that is built on games, rather than the platform. CARV is strongly bound to the interest of every user and we would not like to make everything about us. At this point, we allow selected users to write reviews on CARV to air their feedback and help us refine the product. All other community members are welcome to provide their comments in the community.

If you want to be a CARV review writer, please watch out for relative events that give out whitelists. It might include owners of certain NFTs, gamer participants, leaderboard rankers, and more.

Why have I not received my rewards (NFTs/Tokens etc)?

CARV provides diverse rewards packages with both self-run and project-initiated events, including tokens, $GEM, whitelists, and more.

In most cases, the winner list will be announced after all campaigns and events end, and will hopefully be distributed within 7 business days.

In most cases, you can find the winner list on the official channel of the hosting or the co-hosting project. Please make sure you are seeking information in the right venue.

If the rewards are distributed but you have not received them (providing evidence to prove that you are qualified), please reach out to us for help.

Losing CXP because of the system error?

There can be occasions when you fail to claim CXP even after completing the tasks. Please feel free to screenshot or screen-record relative technical glitches and report them to our official server.

Why "Bind too frequently"?

To avoid bots binding and spamming accounts, CARV only recognizes limited account binding for a certain period of time. If you constantly see this error notification, please check whether your account is used, or unrecognizable or try it later.

Why 'Server Error'?

It could happen due to network issues on the CARV platform or on your device.

Special notice for Twitter Space badge

Please log in from the mobile Twitter app to participate in the event. It is also recommended to screenshot or screen-record your proof of attendance in case there will be technical glitches during the event. Other participants may not be eligible for minting an attendee badge on carv.io.
